  It's really quite simple. The Family Corner Network is about YOU. You and all the other visitors, contributors, and sponsors who value the family and believe in the importance of building stronger, healthier families.

We are trying to provide information on a variety of subjects and issues of concern to the members of your network. It's a big job, but with your help, and your patience, we'll keep trying to improve.

  
     
  HOW DID IT GET STARTED?

Back in 1995, Jim Davis was trying to come up with ways to help people who were losing their jobs due to "downsizing" layoffs. One of his ideas grew into what he now calls The Job Loss Survival Guide. His first website was primarily concerned with helping people cope with job loss grief, but it quickly became apparent that families needed help in other areas, too.

This website is the result of several expansions of and additions to the original one, and there will be more to come. We hope you will find it helpful.
